We are seeking a self-sufficient and highly skilled Network Administrator to support a department operating across 80+ sites in Arizona, Utah, and New Mexico. This individual will be the sole IT resource, responsible for maintaining and supporting all technical infrastructure at the Gallup, New Mexico location. The role is contract-to-hire, located onsite in Gallup, New Mexico with occasional travel to other sites.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for all IT-related issues across ~160 computers and ~250 employees.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot network infrastructure including Meraki switches, firewalls, and Verkada camera systems.
  • Support and manage ISP relationships and connectivity across all sites.
  • Assist with the rollout and ongoing maintenance of Sentinel-installed equipment (Verkada, Meraki, APC).
  • Provide remote and on-site support as needed, with travel estimated at 30%.
  • Ensure uptime and reliability of systems used by site staff (drivers, managers, cooks).

Qualifications

Required Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience with Meraki networking equipment (switches and firewalls).
  • Hands-on experience with Verkada camera systems.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage IT operations without direct supervision.
  • Willingness and ability to travel across AZ, UT, and NM.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • The candidate must have a car, as this position requires travel between location and the transportation of equipment
  • A valid driver’s license and proof of vehicle insurance will be required
  • Legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting distributed teams or multi-site environments.
  • Familiarity with APC power systems and general IT infrastructure.
  • Previous experience in a sole IT support role or similar capacity.
