We are seeking a highly experienced and self-sufficient Senior Systems Engineer to join a collaborative team in a fully onsite role located in Mesa, Arizona. This individual will serve as a technical lead, supporting junior team members and working closely with the Director to take ownership of complex tasks and projects. The ideal candidate will be a well-rounded technologist with deep expertise across a range of enterprise IT systems and platforms.

Qualifications

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a senior technical resource, capable of independently managing and resolving complex infrastructure issues.
  • Collaborate with the Director to take on delegated responsibilities and lead technical initiatives.
  • Support and mentor junior team members.
  • Perform installation, configuration, and management of VMware environments, including vCenter and storage integration.
  • Administer and support systems including O365 (Entra), Azure, Active Directory, SharePoint, and enterprise storage solutions.
  • Utilize support contracts for advanced troubleshooting when needed.
  • Participate in occasional off-hours work, typically scheduled on Fridays.

Required Qualifications:

  • Proven experience with:
    • Microsoft O365 and Entra
    • Azure cloud services
    • Active Directory and SharePoint
    • VMware (including vCenter setup and storage connectivity)
    • Enterprise storage systems (HP/HP Simplicity or Dell preferred)
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Comfortable performing technical screenings (process still being finalized)
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or related field preferred (not required)
  • Certifications such as MCSE or CCNA are a plus but not mandatory
  • The candidate must have a car, as this position requires travel between location and the transportation of equipment
  • A valid driver’s license and proof of vehicle insurance will be required
  • Legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
  • Must demonstrate a “can-do” attitude
