Sentinel Technologies is seeking a highly skilled and results-driven Senior Network Engineer for one of their customers based in Chicago, IL. The ideal candidate will have over seven years of hands-on experience managing medium to large data centers and large multi-site environments, specializing in Cisco technologies. Demonstrated expertise in configuring, maintaining, and optimizing complex network infrastructures, with a strong focus on security, performance, and scalability. This is an onsite position located in Chicago, IL.

Qualifications

  • Advanced level experience with Cisco networking solutions, including routers, switches, and firewalls, in medium to large-scale data center environments.
  • Proficiency in deploying and managing Cisco Nexus switches and Cisco ASA Security appliances, including site-to-site IPSEC VPNs.
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco DNA Center for network automation and assurance.
  • Skilled in integrating and supporting networking technologies such as HP blade enclosures, VMware/vSphere, and F5 application delivery controllers (LTM, ASM, GTM).
  • Extensive experience with Meraki wireless networks, including implementation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Familiar with network monitoring and management tools such as SolarWinds and PRTG.
  • Knowledgeable in VeloCloud SD-WAN technology for modern WAN optimization and connectivity.
  • Advanced understanding of Layer 2/3 networking concepts, protocols, and design principles.
  • Holds an active Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) certification; Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) preferred.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with personnel at all organizational levels.
  • Self-motivated with excellent prioritization and time management abilities.
  • Experienced in creating and maintaining comprehensive network documentation.
  • Legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
  • Must demonstrate a “can-do” attitude

Compensation Range: 

$70.00-$80.00/hr
