Sentinel has partnered with one of its key Chicago area customers to hire a Meditech Informatics Specialist. The Meditech Informatics Specialist plays a key role in integrating nursing practice with data and information systems to enhance patient care quality. This position focuses on the application build and support of Meditech Client/Server solutions for the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and other clinical systems.This is a Direct Hire position located onsite in Chicago, IL.

 

Key Responsibilities include but may not be limited to:

  • Application Development & Support: Build, maintain, and optimize Meditech EMR and clinical systems.
  • System Efficiency & Security: Ensure stability, security, and accessibility of applications.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with Meditech representatives and healthcare staff to align systems with business needs.
  • Workflow Analysis: Evaluate workflows, data collection, and reporting to enhance functionality.
  • Error Monitoring: Identify and resolve system issues; maintain data integrity.
  • Software Updates & Testing: Oversee system updates, enhancements, and change management processes.
  • End-User Training: Provide education and support for clinicians, physicians, and other users.
  • System Optimization: Continuously assess and improve Meditech system use and efficiencies.
  • On-Call Support: Provide after-hours support as needed.

Qualifications

  • Meditech Experience Required (Client-Server) – Only candidates with this experience will be considered.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or a related field.
  • 2+ Years of Supervisory/Management Experience.
  • Strong background in Materials Management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and other applications.
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and CDC standards.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and customer service skills.
  • A valid driver’s license and proof of vehicle insurance will be required
  • Legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
  • Must demonstrate a “can-do” attitude

Compensation Range: 

$90,000-110,000 per year
