Sentinel is looking for a communications technician for one of our clients. In this role you would install, configure, and troubleshoot digital microwave, fiber optic systems, telephone PBX systems, radio equipment, and automated data systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible to ensure all equipment is operating within the specifications of federal requirements and operating properly. This is contract role reporting to our client site in Green Bay, WI.

Qualifications

  • Must have an associate degree in telecommunications, electrical engineering, computer networking, or related discipline.
  • Must have a current/valid General Radiotelephone operators license
  • Proficient knowledge of FCC rules, electronics, telecommunications systems, and computer diagnostics.
  • Knowledge of electronics and electrical power, FM Radio systems, LAN/WAN and data cabling systems, routers and hubs, grounding systems, ISDN and data telecommunications
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds unassisted
  • Position requires standing, squatting, climbing, and lifting from floor to waist and from waist to over shoulders
  • The candidate must have a car, as this position requires travel between location and the transportation of equipment
  • A valid driver’s license and proof of vehicle insurance will be required
  • Legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
  • Must demonstrate a “can-do” attitude
