Sentinel is seeking for a Network Engineer for one of our customers.  We are looking for someone who possesses a strong technical acumen along with leadership skills with ability to manage vendor relations. Primary responsibilities will be to maintain the servers, switches, wireless access, cameras, access control, security system, managing 7 other people in tech department, working with police and fire on panic buttons and access to cameras, emergency 911 layout, manage vendor relations and the E-rate program. This is a contract job opportunity reporting onsite in Alsip, IL.

Qualifications

  • Must have previous experience working with vendors
  • Must have previous experience as a lead to a small team of help desk and engineers
  • Must possess the skills to mentor and guide more junior level members of the team.
  • Must have a deep understanding of networking concepts and technologies, as well as the ability to troubleshoot problems and implement security measures
  • Must have experience with Laserfiche system for electronic routing
  • Must have experience with Server, Switch, Active Directory, and email system support
  • Must have experience with internet security, e-rate administration, internet and WAN support
  • Must possess a deep understanding of networking concepts, such as TCP/IP, routing protocols, and switching technologies.
  • Must possess an in-depth knowledge of Cisco networking hardware and software, including routers, switches, firewalls, VPN, and wireless access points.
  • The candidate must have a car, as this position requires travel between location and the transportation of equipment
  • A valid driver’s license and proof of vehicle insurance will be required
  • Legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
  • Must demonstrate a “can-do” attitude

Compensation Range: $65/hr - $80/hr
