Sentinel is looking for a Systems Engineer to support our client.  The Systems Engineer will proactively gather information and utilize analytical and creative problem solving skills using standard processes and technologies to create efficient, secure and reliable solutions for the business.  This role will require you to be the subject matter expert for the infrastructure ecosystem.  This role requires some after hours work and occasional out of town travel. This long term contract role can be performed remotely but will need to provide onsite support to the client locations as needed based in the southern suburbs of Denver, CO.

Qualifications

 

  • 4-6 years of experience with administering, monitoring and securing Windows-based systems
  • Knowledge of automating scripting using modern languages such as Python or PowerShell is preferred
  • Must have recent experience deploying, managing and supporting a hybrid Office 365 environment 
  • Must have experience designing, managing and supporting Active Directory
  • Deep understanding of Windows networking
  • Must be able to handle tier 3 help desk escalations
  • Expertise in VMware vSphere, virtualization, and cloud technologies
  • Expereince in resolving incidents and requests in compliance with SOX and PCI regulations
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment managing a range of situations involving business stakeholders, vendor partners and technical resources
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills is required
  • Must be able to work flexible hours occassionally, as needed
  • Associate’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience is required
  • The candidate must have a car, as this position requires travel between location and the transportation of equipment
  • A valid driver’s license and proof of vehicle insurance will be required
  • Legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
  • Must demonstrate a “can-do” attitude

Compensation Range: 

$40- 55/hour
