Sentinel Technologies is seeking a Systems Engineer for one of our partners in Northwest Indiana. As a Systems Engineer you will be responsible for maintaining and supporting Microsoft Windows and Linux servers. Additionally, you will provide support for application issues and offer assistance to application support personnel. The System Engineer, also participates in planned downtimes for system upgrades and maintenance activities as well as an on-call rotation for after-hours support. This is a contract to hire position hybrid in East Chicago, Indiana.

• Bachelor’s Degree related field; equivalent combination of education and 4 years’ experience may also be considered.
• 2 - 4 related work experience including implementing, maintaining and monitoring servers, i.e. Windows, Unix, Linux and/or VMware.
• MCSE or MCP certification preferred.
• Experience required in IIS and Web Services
• Experience required in Active Directory Services
• Experience required in the area of virtualization and the usage of VMWare.
• 4 years of server related experience with different hardware platforms and operating systems. Proficiency in Microsoft operating systems mandatory.
• Minimum 2 years’ experience administering Microsoft Exchange, certification preferred.
• Strong technical knowledge of network and PC operating systems.
• Must be able to work an on-call rotation for after-hours support.
• The candidate must have a car, as this position requires travel between location and the transportation of equipment
• A valid driver’s license and proof of vehicle insurance will be required
• Legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
• Must demonstrate a “can-do” attitude
