Sentinel is seeking a Project Manager for one of our Chicago area customers. This professional should be capable of overseeing and directing an enterprise sized ($100M) infrastructure (WAN) refresh. The project encapsulates replacing equipment reaching its end of life and being upgraded across 500+ sites. This candidate will be responsible for program realignment, timeframe management and establishing process and procedures for support of this endeavor. This candidate will be responsible for the fiscal management of this technology project in accordance with ISBE and E-rate expectations. The position will require onsite work as needed to engage stakeholders in downtown Chicago to include management offices, work sites and support activities. This is a hybrid, contract role reporting to our client in Chicago, IL.

 

Qualifications

  • Experience managing operationally critical IT projects at an enterprise level across multiple vendors and locations
  • Demonstrated experience successfully managing enterprise level projects including planning, costs, implementation and ongoing support
  • Proficiency adhering to and managing E-Rates, ISBE
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with stakeholders, vendors and users (tech and non-tech)
  • Act as main point of contact for vendors, City of Chicago agencies and/or union officials
  • Working alongside client teams to procure the release of funding as project progresses
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively to resolve complex program challenges between vendors to meet the program deliverables
  • Maintaining up to date and thorough project plans accessible to client stakeholders 24/7
  • Reporting appropriately as needed to both the clients Operational IT and Executive leadership in a timely manner
  • The candidate must have a car, as this position requires travel between location and the transportation of equipment
  • A valid driver’s license and proof of vehicle insurance will be required
  • Legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
  • Must demonstrate a “can-do” attitude
