    Responsibilities

    Sentinel is seeking a Sr. HR Generalist to join our team. In this role, you will assist the VP of Human Resources and the Human Resource Manager design and implement compensation plans, complete pay equity analysis, AAP compliance, and develop/implement policies to meet regulatory requirements. Performs day-to-day compensation reviews of pay changes, provides guidance on new hire pay rates, and follows escalation procedures when necessary to resolve issues in a timely manner. You will provide guidance to managers regarding performance management, disciplinary actions, and compensation planning. The HR Generalist will also assist with maintaining affirmative action program; maintains records, reports, and logs to conform to EEO regulations. Establishes and maintains department records and reports, acts as the back-up for day-to-day payroll administration and employee onboarding, assists the HR Manager with the administration of Workers Compensation, FMLA, Leaves of Absences, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, Military Leaves etc. Process Prevailing Wage payments by reviewing work performed and processing pay adjustments through payroll. Maintain knowledge of legislative changes that affect the organization. You may also be assigned to miscellaneous projects, assist events and other HR functions. Individuals must be able to work independently with a “can-do” attitude and must have a keen attention to detail. This is a fulltime opportunity in Downers Grove, IL

    Qualifications

     

    • 5-8 years of experience in a similar role
    • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Human Resources or related field required
    • Experience with creating compensation plans and conducting compensation analysis, working with performance management system
    • Must have experience coaching and guiding management
    • Experience working with Paylocity and/or Taleo
    • Must have excellent communications skills and strong presentation skills
    • Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel
    • Legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
    • Must be currently working in a similar position
    • Must demonstrate a “can-do” attitude
