    HR Generalist

    Sentinel is looking for an HR Generalist II to join our team. In this position, you will assist the HR Manager administer various human resource Compensation and Benefits plans and procedures for all company personnel.  Performs day-to-day benefits administration tasks, escalates any issues with outsourced vendor to the HR Manager; follow escalation procedures when necessary to resolve issues timely.  Backs-up day-to-day payroll administration and employee on-boarding.  Assists with maintaining affirmative action program; files required EEO/Vets Reports annually; maintains records, reports, and logs to conform to EEO regulations.  Establishes and maintains department records and reports. You may also be assigned to miscellaneous projects, assist with policy procedure writing, events and other HR functions.  Individuals must be able to work independently with a “can-do” attitude, and must have a keen attention to detail.


    Assists the HR Manager administers Workers Compensation, FMLA, Leaves of Absences, Short-Term Disability, Long-term Disability, Military Leaves, etc.  Prepare and distributes benefits checks for the various vendors. (Life, FSA, etc.).  Coordinates department AED program.  Assists coordinate OSHA documentation and regulation administration.  Process Prevailing Wage payments by reviewing work performed and processing pay adjustments through payroll.  Maintain knowledge of legislative changes that affect the organization. The is a direct hire opportunity located in Downers Grove, IL.


    • 2-4 years of experience in a similar role
    • Experience working with Paylocity and/or Taleo
    • Experience with payroll &benefits administration
    • Must have strong presentation and communication skills
    • Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel
    • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Human Resources or related field
    • Legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
    • Must be currently working in a similar position
    • Must demonstrate a “can-do” attitude
