Responsibilities

Software Developer Internship

Sentinel is seeking candidates for a Software Developer internship this summer. As an Intern Software Developer you will be joining a team of like engineers to learn complex software development lifecycle concepts.  You will be learning to support highly scalable applications designed in Microsoft and universal web technologies.  You will spend your summer beginning your career with us by working with Sentinel’s top engineers in a shadowing and training program designed to build your skills in customer relations, Sentinel history and technical competencies.  You will have the opportunity to learn some of the most innovative technologies in the integration and support field.  This internship program is designed to accelerate a recent or future graduate with a degree in Computer Science, Computer Programming or Computer Software Engineering, or Management Information Systems from basic skills into hands on practical application implementing software development lifecycle implementations for our clients and the enterprise. At the end of the internship you will be reviewed by our internal hiring managers for an opportunity to receive a job offer for future employment.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years college coursework completed
  • 3.0 GPA or higher preferred
  • Major in Computer or Software field; Computer Science, Computer Programming or Computer Software Engineering, Management Information Systems
  • Demonstrated hands on implementation/troubleshooting of software concepts
  • Any hands on experience implementing Microsoft .Net, SQL or Web Development technologies helpful not required
  • Ability to work independently or as a team
  • Must be a self-starter with organizational, time-management, problem solving and decision making skills
  • Must have a “can-do” attitude and be comfortable in a fast-paced competitive environment
  • Legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
  • Must be currently working in a similar position
