Responsibilities

Production Planning and Inventory Supervisor

The Production Planning / Inventory Supervisor is responsible for defining and implementing all of the manufacturing production strategies. You will also interpret material and manufacturing plans, sales/usage history and forecasts to create, organize, consolidate, adjust and control manufacturing schedules. Focus is on the analysis and review of demand in order to establish appropriate inventory levels and ensure continued supply to the customer base. This is a full time opportunity located in Hammond, Indiana.

Qualifications

 

  •  5-7 years previous experience in a manufacturing environment, including forecasting, scheduling and real-time operations management
  • 2 to 5 years of experience in a Lean manufacturing environment
  • Ability to promote and drive continuous improvement
  • Strong written, verbal and presentation skills
  • Analytical skills and good judgement
  • Good understanding of customer expectations and deliverables with an awareness of the impact of failure/cost of poor quality
  • Advanced Microsoft user to include Excel software
  • Six Sigma Green/Black Belt – preferred
  • A valid driver’s license and proof of vehicle insurance will be required
  • Legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
  • Must be currently working in a similar position
  • Must demonstrate a “can-do” attitude
