Responsibilities

Security Analyst

As a Security Analyst, you will work within the Sentinel Security Operations Center. You will be responsible for responding to security incidents, logging reviews, and security device management. Candidates should have a deep understanding of both Linux and Windows Systems for analysis. This is a full time opportunity located in Downers Grove, IL.

Qualifications

  • The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to analyze real traffic and associated artifacts: malicious, normal, and application traffic; and demonstrate the ability to differentiate malicious traffic from false positives
  • Demonstrate an understanding of IDS methods and correlation issues (Advanced IDS Concepts)
  • Understanding of how DNS works for both legitimate and malicious purposes
  • Conceptually familiar with IDS/IPS, Firewalls, AntiVirus, Web Filtering, Email Filtering, NAC, etc. Ideally having used a few of these
  • Can communicate complex events and recommendations in a way customers can easily understand
  • Security related certifications preferred: GIAC, OSCP, OSCE CEH
  • Ability to analyst packet captures
  • The candidate must have a car, as this position requires travel between location and the transportation of equipment
  • Working knowledge of routing and switching protocols
  • CCNA certification is preferred
  • A valid driver’s license and proof of vehicle insurance will be required
  • Legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship
  • Must be currently working in a similar position
  • Must demonstrate a “can-do” attitude
